Weekend with the Masters
I’ve just returned from Weekend with the Masters, and my head is a big gum ball machine of ideas, inspiration and thoughts about the history and process of making art and being an artist. I need time to sort my experience into a tangible plan – something that I can map & execute in the studio this Fall & Winter, but the experience was fantastic, as always.

Art Quote
Realize that a drawing is not a copy. It is a construction in very different materials. A drawing is an invention.
~Robert Henri
Love the painting and the post. That must be an inspiring weekend indeed.

Also love the idea that a drawing is not a copy. So many of us are trying to “get it right”, as in a factual imitation. Impossible.
Love your pears and lemons! And beautiful figures~
Incredible work!
